While attending the press conference for 'Twenty-Five, Twenty-One' on Wednesday (9/2), WJSN's Bona revealed her preparations before filming this drama. Here's the full narrative.
WJSN (Cosmic Girls) Bona revealed her preparations to star in the tvN drama "Twenty-Five, Twenty-One". He stated this in the press conference "Twenty-Five, Twenty-One" which was held on Wednesday (9/2).
"Twenty-Five, Twenty-One" is a drama depicting the struggles of youth during the financial crisis that occurred in 1998. Bona plays Go Yu Rim, a fencer who is Na Hee Do's rival (Kim Tae Ri).
In order to portray the character well, Bona diligently practiced fencing for several months. Bona said, "Because fencing is very important to Yu Rim, I practiced diligently before we started filming."
He continued, "Yu Rim is a very colorful character. Because she shows a different side of every new character she meets, I was worried (about how to play her). That's why I talked a lot with the director and fellow actors and focused on finding (identity). Yu Rim."
Bona then revealed her experience of practicing fencing with Kim Tae Ri. He said, "I started about three months later than Tae Ri unnie, but he actually trains every morning."
"At that time, we would laugh and cry while competing and learn lessons. That moment really helped us while filming. We are both very competitive, so when one of us loses, we will schedule another competition for the following week," he said.
On this occasion, director Jung Ji Hyun also shared his thoughts about this drama. He shared, "The script is very clear. There is a lot of good dialogue and the good dialogue is delivered sincerely by these five great actors and the rest of the cast."
