Being lined up to be an MC on a music show that always airs every week, it turned out that ENHYPEN's Sunghoon had difficulty showing it so this idol has his own way of dealing with it.
Being one of the hosts of KBS's music program "Music Bank" gave a golden opportunity for the idol of the rookie group Sunghoon ENHYPEN who was lined up to be the MC. As is known, to become an MC Sunghoon absorbs some knowledge in order to show the best.
As is known, Sunghoon with Jang Won Young IVE was lined up to be the MC of "Music Bank" after TXT's Soobin and Oh My Girl's Arin. The two have such great chemistry that they even won the "Best Couple Award" at the 2021 KBS Entertainment Awards.
However, that didn't mean it was a smooth road for Sunghoon. In a previous interview with Weverse magazine, he was asked about his experience as an MC. Sunghoon explained that he enjoyed doing it knowing that his fans enjoyed seeing him regularly.
"First, I think fans will like it because they can continue to see me during our hiatus," said Sunghoon. Besides, Sunghoon also wanted to take on the role knowing it was the right opportunity to improve his speaking skills. Although during the MC role he always seemed calm, he felt nervous and depressed while hosting the program for "Music Bank" but it lessened as time passed.
"I also wanted to do it because I thought it would help me speak more fluently and be beneficial for my personality. I feel nervous every time I'm at a live show and feel pressured to do it without making mistakes, but I still think I'm much more used to it now than I was at first," he continued. Sunghoon.
One of the challenges he faced was reading a teleprompter or reading aid when someone wanted to appear in public. Thanks to that, Sunghoon became familiar with the script before the start of each show. Another way he practices is by watching videos of other hosts.
"I practice scripting a lot because I find it hard to see cue cards instead of teleprompters, and I try to watch videos of how other hosts do it. However, I think I should go out and actually do it to get better. So I'm trying to fix my issues one by one. one when it comes out every week," he explained later.
Meanwhile, Sunghoon admitted that he was a shy person and that was the hardest part for him. However, with the determination he had, Sunghoon convinced himself that his shyness would most likely disappear the more time he spent MCing on the prestigious music show. (wk/taki)
