SM Entertainment's project unit girl group Girls On Top GOT the beat recently released an official dance practice video for their song "Step Back." They also released a behind-the-scenes video where BoA surprised the other members with her confession.
Like most K-Pop group dance practices, this video is a video recorded with a single take in one of SM Entertainment's dance practice rooms. Here, the seven members of GOT the Beat practice their parts in comfortable clothes.
In the behind-the-scenes footage of the dance practice video, the members of GOT the beat can be seen playing around with each other. Here, Karina calls fellow aespa member Winter a "stretching buddy" while Red Velvet's Wendy teaches BoA a cute vocal practice method she uses.
Girls' Generation's Tae Yeon made the other members laugh by pointing out the mistakes she made while practicing. And in one of the clips from the video, BoA confessed to the other members that this is the first time she's filmed a dance practice video in her 20-year career.
BoA debuted in August 2000 with the album "ID; Peace B". Since then, she has continued to have a very successful career and established herself as one of the legendary K-Pop idols with amazing dancing and vocal skills. But fellow members of GOT the beat were surprised that throughout BoA's career, she had never shot a dance practice video.
Karina even asked if the video that BoA released through the SMTOWN YouTube channel, a performance video that she took at TAPAHA, a dance studio in Korea, was not a dance practice video. But BoA insisted that the video was only filmed as a hobby and that "Step Back" was the first time she did official dance practice for SM.
Hyoyeon took the opportunity to tease BoA, jokingly asking if she was nervous. BoA gave a surprised reaction before and jokingly admitted that "yes, [she] was actually really nervous." Worried he might do some choreography wrong. But of course, the legendary idol put on an amazing performance for their dance practice video. (wk/goddess)
