Now on Friday (14/01), the SM Entertainment agency announced that Taemin would be transferred from the position of a band member to public service.
The reason for this is due to Taemin's deteriorating mental health condition during his time as a member of the military band, especially symptoms of depression and anxiety disorders.
Now fans' attention is focused on the live broadcast held by Taemin in April 2021, before he entered the military as a member of the band. In the broadcast he said, "Thank you for always being there for me when I'm lonely and having a hard time. I think this job suits me. I am a person who loves to be loved.”
While holding back tears, Taemin said again, “Did I give you strength? It's not a sad thing, but why do I feel sad. I worry, fear, and worry about the future. I am happy when I see the past. I'm lonely when I look at the past. I think a lot has happened.”
