Lee Se Young Praises 2PM's Junho When Starring in 'The Red Sleeve'

Lee Se Young plays Seong Deok Im, a lady-in-waiting who doesn't want to be just one of the King's many women. He harbors no personal ambition or greed.


Lee Se Young is currently busy starring in "The Red Sleeve". The 1992-born actress plays the character of Seong Deok Im, a palace maid who wants to independently make decisions about her life.

Seong Deok Im doesn't want to be just one of the many women of the King. Despite being accidentally involved in a major incident, Seong Deok Im does not harbor any personal ambition or greed.

In an interview with Singles Korea magazine recently, Lee Se Young mentioned several points worth observing from "The Red Sleeve". The beautiful actress apparently also praised 2PM's Junho who became her co-star.

"First is my partner, actor Lee Junho. He is my partner and he has a warm and intelligent heart, so we can work well together. Romance and good chemistry with Junho!" said Lee Se Young.

"And this drama has the original book, so you can see how the dramatization takes place. Third, the theme of our drama is the mourning love of the king and the palace maid, so this can be a point worth observing," added Lee Se Young.

Lee Se Young then discussed the differences in his character with Sung Deok Im. "I have more things than Deok Im. I can live and choose with many opportunities, but he can't. That's the difference, I feel hurt and feel sorry for him," said Lee Se Young.

Next, Lee Se Young revealed the similarities in his personality with Sung Deok Im. "Similarity, Deok Im is really smart and naughty. I think her beautiful and smart side suits me," concluded Lee Se Young.

Meanwhile, "The Red Sleeve" is a traditional historical drama that tells the story of the imperial court romance between a court lady who wants to protect the life she has chosen and the emperor who puts the nation above love. (wk/charity)
