Various well-known brands that work with Kim Seon Ho are known to have deleted various posts featuring the actor before the rumors were confirmed.
This had angered fans who thought these brands were taking action for no apparent reason. But it turns out that their attitude has a strong basis.
Through a recent interview with Sports Chosun, one of the brand representatives explained the reason they removed Kim Seon Ho's content and cut off cooperation with the actor.
“When the scandal broke, we tried to contact him or his agency all day long. We need answers but it's hard to reach them. We don't understand why they decided to ignore us. He should have explained the situation and let us handle it with him. If he showed up earlier, we wouldn't have to cut ties with him.
Fame comes with increased responsibility. Having multiple endorsements means having more terms and conditions to live by… And after seeing how little she cared about her responsibilities as a model we were contracted with, we realized that it would be impossible to continue working with her.
Kim Seon Ho's reputation was not as important as his reliability. We must be able to trust him as our model. But because he handled the crisis without professionalism and maturity, we had no choice but to reconsider our contract. We predict it will be difficult for him to rebuild trust with other brands as well.”
But apparently not all brands terminated their contracts with Kim Seon Ho. Nau, which is a South Korean fashion brand, has not yet decided on their choice. Until now, the brand has not agreed to terminate the contract with Kim Seon Ho. (www.kpopchart.net)
