Launching Soompi, Tuesday (29/6/2021), Butter managed to top the best-selling chart of the fourth week of June 2021. BTS set the record for the longest number one song owned by any Asian artist when occupying the Hot 100.

"Only one song by a group has topped the Hot 100 for more weeks from its debut than Butter: Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men with One Sweet Day, which spent its first 16 weeks on the chart at number one in 1995-1996," said Gary Trust of Billboard.

Billboard explains that Butter garnered 12.4 million US streams and 128,400 downloads (15 percent increase) for the week ending June 24, as well as 27.6 million radio viewer views (6 percent increase) in the week ending June 27.

Billboard also stated Butter had sold at least 100,000 downloads in each of its first five weeks, the first song to do so since Despacito in 2017.

BTS Butter became the 11th song out of 54 songs to debut at No.1 to spend five consecutive weeks in Hot 100 history. Of the 1,125 songs to reach number one in Hot 100 history, Butter became the 196th song to spend five weeks at the top. . /celebrities.id
