After the release of his fourth mini album titled 'Roses' on June 3, VIXX's Ravi drew controversy, especially among Red Velvet fans.

Because one song in his comeback mini album, Ravi also released a song with the title 'RED VELVET', in which he collaborated with soloist JAMIE.

Shortly after its release, a discussion arose in the online community the qoo discussing whether the song was related to the SM Entertainment girl group of the same name.

This is reinforced by several phrases from the lyrics that are definitely reminiscent of the girl group Red Velvet, as seen from "Dumb Dumb" and also "Russian Roulette" mentioned in the lyrics.

In addition, a lyric from the song “초콜릿 ” which means “It's like swimming through chocolate” where the word “Sooyoung (수영)” which means “swim” is also Joy's real name.

Besides Joy, Yeri's name is also included in the lyrics by inserting the word "yeri-hagien" which means "sharp".

Even worse, the lyrics of the song are considered to have meanings that can be interpreted as sexual to harassment by some netizens.

After reaping various negative reactions from netizens, Ravi immediately apologized. Not only to the public, the singer and rapper also first apologized to the Red Velvet members and also the staff for feeling responsible and sorry.
