K-Pop fans tend to like seeing their idols with bright hair colors, and one of the fan favorites might be red hair. However, there is one major problem when idols dye their hair red.

Recently, two experienced K-Pop hairstylists, Goya and Aeri, revealed it all in an interview with the YouTube channel AYO. Over the years, they have worked with many K-Pop stars in several popular salons, including Jenny House in Gangnam.

Their combined client list includes Wanna One, Super Junior, NU'EST, Fiestar, EXID, VIXX, and more. With all their experiences, the two reveal the secrets of idol hairstyles, including the problem with red hair.

From BTS's V and TXT's Taehyun to Red Velvet's Joy and Ningning aespa, many K-Pop idols have tried the red hair trend over the years. Goya and Aeri reveal that there is one major problem with red hair is that it fades like blood.

Goya revealed, "After just one practice, this kind of red coloring will make your sweat bleed." Not real blood, of course, but it sure looks similar.

Aeri then explained that of all the hair dye options, red dye seemed to be the most widely used. So, when idols sweat during their performance, the colors mix and create the appearance of dripping blood.

The AYO commentator picked up EXO's Baekhyun in particular, who once dyed his hair red right before a concert. As soon as he started sweating, the color came out like blood.

Aeri also has a story about red hair problems with idols. Once, he worked with EXID's Hani, who had long hair at the time. After dyeing her hair red, the color ended up dripping and staining her clothes, leaving them stained. "(At the time) the stylist said, 'Do you hate me?'" she recalls.

In addition to making clothes sweat and staining outfits, the red color that fades easily makes stylists have to dye their hair repeatedly to keep it bright. "Idols shed blood and sweat, and I shed tears," joked Goya. (wk/chus)
