"Running Man" will soon lose Lee Kwang Soo, who has been with him for more than 10 years. The actor, who is nicknamed the Prince of Asia, decided to leave in order to focus on recovering from an accident he had suffered.
With Lee Kwang Soo's departure later, many are questioning whether "Running Man" will add a new member. However, the production team has repeatedly stated that they have not had any discussions about finding a replacement member for the Giraffe.
Now on Thursday (2/6), "Running Man" PD Choi Bo Pil has an interview with the Hankook Ilbo media to talk about how the fate of the popular program will be abandoned by Lee Kwang Soo, a member who always succeeds in making the audience laugh with his actions.
"Well, his departure is not something sudden. So we don't plan on changing the nature of the program or anything. Some people assume that we will have more guests on our show, but that's not something we are thinking about at the moment," said PD Choi. Bo Pil.
PD Choi Bo Pil also once again confirmed that he will not be looking for a new member to replace Lee Kwang Soo. "We'll have to see how it goes, but we plan to continue with the current seven members," continued PD Choi Bo Pil.
"We plan to show better chemistry between the current 'Running Man' members. We may try to bring in other members in the future, but not now," concluded PD Choi Bo Pil.
