A new video released by AYO's YouTube channel raises the topic of Jennie's English pronunciation, and many netizens are surprised to learn that there are different types of English accents.

The language teacher for K-Pop idols revealed why many students say they want to speak English like Jennie BLACKPINK (Black Pink).

Recently Heo Woo Seong and Dasom, an English teacher at the company, guested on the YouTube channel AYO. Heo Woo Seong specializes in foreign language services for idols, so they know a thing or two about speaking English.

The video raised the topic of Jennie's English pronunciation, and many netizens were surprised to learn that there are different types of English accents. Dasom suspects that Jennie has American and New Zealand accents, while Rosé has Australian accents.

"Every country has a different British accent. Rosé speaks with a beautiful Australian accent. Jennie's accent is New Zealand and American. For New Zealand and Australian accents, you don't pronounce anything clearly," said Dasom.

Heo Woo Seong then commented on Jennie's English proficiency, saying, "Jennie basically speaks good English."

Because of Jennie's fluent English and good accent, many idols want to talk like her. However, Dasom explained that they are still trying to match the students' accents with their respective characters.

"So a lot of people tell us that they want to speak English like Jennie. We find an accent that suits the character of each member and teach them a different accent," he said. (wk / chus)
