Ex-APRIL's Hyunjoo's sister has been found not guilty after being sued on charges of defamation.
Previously, there were parties who filed a lawsuit against Hyunjoo's younger brother, on charges of spreading slander and defamation.
Lee & Kim as Hyunjoo's family attorney on Wednesday (23/06) said, "On June 14, the police have stated that Hyunjoo's younger brother, who wrote the post 'I am the younger brother of a former APRIL member' on February 28 and other posts entitled 'I'm Lee Hyun Joo's younger brother' on March 3, has been declared innocent on charges of defamation.”
According to law firm Lee & Kim, the police said, "It is very difficult to conclude whether Lee Hyun Joo's sister wrote the post with malicious intent."
The police further explained that Lee Hyun Joo's younger sister's posting on online forums, "is not an exaggeration of past events, and her statement cannot be categorized as a 'false rumour'."
However, Lee & Kim stated that the police could not reveal the identity of the plaintiff's sister Hyunjoo. Lee & Kim plans to make additional claims to get the name of the plaintiff's sister Hyunjoo. (www.kpopchart.net)
