Do not want to be avoided, Suga BTS admits that he wants to remember the past that hurts when he writes songs

Usually, people prefer to forget all the unpleasant memories they had in the past. Songwriters like Suga, do the opposite. When they write the lyrics, they relive the pain again then let the world know what they're going through.

Suga's raw and powerful debut mixtape, Agust D, is proof of that. Knowing that Suga had touched on his past difficulties in some songs, Sakshma Srivastav of E NOW asked him if he found it difficult to relive painful memories every time he wrote lyrics. With a chuckle, he replied that he had no problem with it.

"It's not too difficult. Because we work on music a lot, we have a lot of songs out there, so when we work on our individual projects, we always think about what to talk about," said Suga.

He views the negative experience as an opportunity to tell fans more stories. Instead of giving him pain, writing about the memory helps relieve it.

"Now that we look back on those experiences, we feel grateful because it allowed us to tell different stories. And the things that used to be painful to remember are no longer because releasing music also helps ease those emotions, so it's half-assed for me." Suga.

While the same might not happen to other people, Suga personally thinks that releasing music helps him process his pain better. This eventually overcame the pain.

"For me, this is very helpful. A lot of people live with their traumatic memories, but I believe there will come a time when they can overcome it. I also think you need to go through a process where you regulate these emotions, and for me, one of those processes is releasing music. ," he said.

On the other hand, BTS (Bangtan Boys)'s latest single, "Butter" has made a historic debut on the Billboard charts. On Tuesday (1/6) June local time, Billboard officially announced that BTS's new single "Butter" has taken first place on Billboard's famous Hot 100 chart.

Since "Dynamite", "Life Goes On," and "Butter" all debuted at No. 1 on the chart, BTS has now become the first group in history to have three songs enter the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1. According to Billboard, no other group has more than one. (wk/putr)
