BTS managed to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the song 'Butter' for five consecutive weeks.
On June 28, 2021 local time, Billboard announced that the song 'Butter' again ranked first on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a chart that takes into account popular songs in the United States.
Previously the song 'Butter' had ranked first on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for four consecutive weeks, making it the first Asian artist song to last a long time on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Now BTS has added a new record by topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart for five consecutive weeks. According to Billboard, the only song by the band to outlast 'Butter' is Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey's 'One Sweet Day', which stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 16 weeks, from 1995 to 1996.
Of the total 1125 songs that have topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart throughout history, 'Butter' is the 196th song to last for five weeks.
In addition to the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the song 'Butter' also ranked first on the Billboard Global Excl chart. U.S. and ranked second on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
