Through an exclusive interview, APRIL claimed that they were close enough in their trainee days that they would take sticker photos together. However it was considered suspicious.
Recently, APRIL gave an exclusive interview with Sports Kyunghyang to share stories about the bullying allegations that Hyunjoo made against them. But netizens found something suspicious with one of the evidence provided.
Through an exclusive interview, APRIL claimed that they were close enough in their trainee days that they would take sticker photos together. The photo was captioned, "Sticker booth photos from 2015 revealed by APRIL members. Although Lee Hyun Joo has admitted to being bullied since his training days, it is known that the members were close enough to take sticker booth photos."
Initially netizens claimed that the photos were not taken before the debut in 2015, but in 2016. However, it was noted that the content for "My Wish" was filmed before the debut and only released a year later.
But netizens continue to claim that the photo was taken as part of a series of videos meant to be broadcast. It does not indicate a good relationship because it has been arranged. The video was released on May 30, 2016 with their video content, "APRIL's My Wish".
Netizens also noticed that Yena was not only wearing the same shirt as in the sticker photo, Naeun was also wearing the same shirt while Hyunjoo was wearing the same hair band.
They also learned that the members' outfits were sponsored by STYLE NANDA, with part of the interview at the event being filmed at STYLE NANDA's flagship store. This shop also has a sticker booth located inside.
The fact that the photo booth was taken while they were filming does not prove that the members have a good relationship. Fans claim it could have been because of the show's demands.
Meanwhile, Hyunjoo's younger brother claimed that his sister had been severely bullied, leading to a suicide attempt. After DSP Media denied the claim, another acquaintance who claimed to be Hyunjoo's classmate repeated the accusation of bullying. (wk/chus)
