The popular trot singer Lim Young Woong has recently drawn a lot of criticism from South Korean netizens.
The controversy began when Lim Young Woong was caught smoking in the room and not wearing a mask while taking a break from filming the program "PPONG School" on TV Chosun on the morning of May 4th.
The filming location for the program was in the DMC Digital Cafe building, Mapo-gu Seoul. Lim Young Woong drew a lot of criticism for smoking in the 23-storey building which was designed as a smoke-free zone.
In addition, Im Young Woong was also seen not wearing a mask when walking in the building, even though all the staff were seen wearing masks around him.
This has sparked a lot of criticism from netizens, as recently COVID-19 cases among celebrities have also increased.
A producer said, "It doesn't matter if they are in the waiting room, it is very inappropriate to smoke in the room with other staff who don't smoke and there is a lot of expensive filming equipment at that location."
