MBLAQ's Mir discussed why most K-Pop idol groups disband, how the members involved handle breakups, and what he believes to be a way to prevent disbandment. Mir first explained that he spoke from his experience.
This means that while MBLAQ has not officially disbanded, he believes the team no longer has a future together. It also broke her heart to see the group's fate as it is now.
"Disbanding sucks. The members are usually like brothers and sisters. They grow together, train together, go through hard times together. So for me, because I personally experienced a team split, it really breaks my heart. It hurts," Mir said. .
He then discussed the big perception of K-Pop fans believing that the group ended up disbanding due to disputes among the members, rarely because of teamwork. However, he denied by saying that the disbandment had happened because of the agency and the money involved.
"When the group broke up, people thought it was because the members didn't get along anymore. I think it never happened. I mean, MBLAQ members were really close. And if you watch the show that some of these teams are doing the same thing. You can tell that everyone's fine and they don't act like that, "Mir continued.
"It's more because of money. The members usually don't have a problem between themselves. It's between the agency and the artist. If money is really an issue between the agency and the artist, then it develops into who leaves and who stays. with the agency 'it can keep the members away from each other, "he said.
Mir then looked back at the time he was actively promoting with MBLAQ and revealed that he had a pretty hard time recovering from the group's unofficial breakup. Not only was the disbandment tough for the fans, it also damaged the members involved as well.
"The breakup broke me. I'm troubled and depressed and you know I can't listen to or sing MBLAQ's songs. MBLAQ's songs remind me of the era when I was part of the team. I can't listen to my own songs anymore because it just pushes me back into despair," explained Mir.
Mir admitted that part of his heart still adhered to MBLAQ. However, for him and for most of the group that disbanded, it wasn't as simple as "getting back together" and promoting as a team again. The reality is, disbandment is permanent and teams don't usually recover from such breakups.
"We have all spent too much time on ourselves now. We have our own things now. We have our uncountable stories, the distance is too wide to be bridged now, for us to come together again and exist as a group again," concluded Mir.
Finally, he added, “It breaks my heart when I see more groups breaking up. They will regret not holding on to it. I hope the team will try their best to stay together. " (wk / daughter)
