The talented ENHYPEN members recently had an interview with Consequence where they discussed their amazing new mini album “BORDER: CARNIVAL” and more. One of the interesting questions ENHYPEN asked is whether they have received advice from other artists who have stayed with them.
In response, Sunoo replied that he received advice from their senior group SEVENTEEN (II). "Is there any advice you receive from other artists that sticks with you?" the question sounded.
“SEVENTEEN members once told me that while performing, there are moments where we are not in the middle, but on the side when we are on standby. They told us that this is also part of the show and we have to give our all to put on a good performance, "replied Sunoo.
Group leader Jungwon also mentioned how great SEVENTEEN and other senior artists in the HYBE family have motivated and inspired them. "How does it feel to be the newest member of the HYBE family?" reads the next question.
“There are so many great artists in the HYBE Label, such as BTS (Bangtan Boys), TXT, SEVENTEEN, etc., that we admire, so we get a lot of inspiration from them. We are very grateful to learn from them from a very close distance, ”replied Jungwon.
"BORDER: CARNIVAL" itself is an album that expresses ENHYPEN's sincere emotions about the foreign experiences they encountered after their debut. The album is divided into three concepts, UP, HYPE, and DOWN, each of which represents a part of the process in which a person is invited to a carnival, enjoys it, then loses awareness of his reality.
Along with the release of the album, the agency also released the MV for the main song. "Drunk-Dazed" is a track that has a strong EDM-influenced sound. There is also a lively atmosphere of the song that matches the mood like a strange trance.
The song lyrics themselves are lyrics that are sung from someone's point of view under a magic spell. This mood fits well with the eerie music video where the members have a "bloody birthday party" where their images at the beginning of the video reveal that they are not only boys but werewolves as well.
