BTS fans or commonly called ARMYs have their protest action against a cosmetic company.

The protests are called not being held without reason, because recently a cosmetics company has registered "BORAHAE" as their trademark.

According to data contained on a copyright and patent website, Kipris (Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service), a cosmetics company has applied for a patent for the name "BORAHAE" since last September 2020.

As fans know, 'BORAHAE' is a term that was popularized by ARMY and BTS. The word 'BORAHAE' was coined by V to refer to the final color of the rainbow, purple, which means that both fans and the group will love and trust each other until the end.

As a result, many BTS fans have flooded the Kipris website, demanding that the company concerned cancel the copyright for the name “BORAHAE”.

ARMY is very disappointed by the news. More than 4000 requests from fans have been received both domestically and globally. They mentioned that the terms represent BTS and ARMY, and have been in use for many years.

Meanwhile, the companies concerned have yet to give their statement regarding the controversy. (www.kpopchart.net)
