According to an exclusive report from famous celebrity news outlet Page Six, BTS (Bangtan Boys) and Justin Bieber will collaborate together on an upcoming song. If this news is true, their fans will certainly welcome it enthusiastically.
Page Six reports that an exclusive source revealed a BTS and Justin Bieber collaboration is currently in the works. It is possible that the song will be part of Justin Bieber's latest album, "Justice" a deluxe repackage version. "They took the time to do it and will make sure it is released properly," said a source as quoted by page Six.
Many have speculated that this collaboration could be realized after US investment firm Ithaca Holdings joined HYBE America earlier this year. Owned by Scooter Braun, Ithaca Holdings is the holding company of SB Projects, Braun's talent agency that manages Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and others.
Shortly after the new partnership was confirmed, BTS sent a welcome message to Justin Bieber and other SB Holdings artists. "Great news that makes all of us in awe! Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, J Balvin! The team behind this and so many amazing artists have joined HYBE," said RM (Rap Monster).
Then, a few days ago, a social media account called DeuxMoi shared an Instagram story stating, "The BTS collaboration is Bieber but you didn't hear it from me [sic]." DeuxMoi is an anonymous gossip account known for sharing various pop culture rumors, celebrity sightings, and more.
BTS and Justin Bieber have also publicly supported and cheered each other on several times in the past. In January last year, Jungkook shared Justin Bieber's song “Yummy” on Twitter with thumbs and heart emojis, and then Justin Bieber thanked him.
And this isn't the first time the two artists' collaborations have been rumored. In 2018 when Scooter Braun announced he would be developing a K-Pop film with Fox, fans began to speculate that a BTS and Justin Bieber collaboration might be in the works. The same rumors surfaced again in September 2019, when Justin Bieber tweeted a happy birthday message to Jungkook, adding, “They're not ready 🙂.”
In addition, Jungkook also named Justin Beiber as one of the Western music artists he admired in his 2017 interview with Ozy, while Justin Bieber stated, “If anyone knows how to make history, it's BTS,” in the E! News last year. (wk / dewi)
