Jeno NCT was known on Friday (23/4) to be 21 years of international age or 22 years of age in South Korea. Jeno also broadcast live via V LIVE to celebrate his birthday yesterday, Monday (26/4).
Jeno did V LIVE for about 30 minutes by answering some comments from fans. Jeno also shared about the habit of giving gifts between NCT members on birthdays.
The NCT member who entered the NCT Dream sub unit revealed that currently they decided not to give gifts for birthdays. The reason is, NCT currently has 23 members so it has to present 22 people every year. This NCT member is still possible to increase considering the concept of the idol group under SM Entertainment is infinite.
Thus, NCT decided to only give gifts to members who wanted them. The reason is, receiving birthday gifts is no longer important for NCT members.
"That's why between us, we decided to give gifts to members who wanted them. And that's why receiving gifts is no longer important now," explained Jeno on V LIVE, Monday (26/4).
Jeno explained that NCT members would be happy to buy gifts when asked. However, if they don't ask for a present for their birthday then they won't give it.
"If the member wants something on his birthday, like" buy me this ~ "then we will buy it for him (happily)," said Jeno.
"But if he doesn't want anything, then it's okay not to give gifts," he added.
Even so, NCT is known to often give gifts to their members even though they don't have birthdays without being asked. Not infrequently, NCT members are known to meet for trips and spend time together outside of schedule. (wk / enyk)
