Last year, the 77th Golden Globes to be precise, the same award was won by director Bong Joon Ho's film Parasite. Parasite at that time managed to become the first Korean film in history to win a Golden Globe.

Minari is a film by Korean-American director Lee Isaac Chung based on the director's real experience, telling the story of a family of South Korean immigrants who try a new life in an American village in the 1980s.

This film stars Steven Yeun, Han Ye Ri, Alan Kim, Noel Kate Cho, Youn Yuh Jung, and Will Patton. Minari was also nominated for the 26th Screen Actor Guild Awards (SAG) and Critics Choice Awards.

Minari had sparked controversy because it was placed in the foreign language category, even though Minari was an American film. The film was produced in America, with an American director and cast, almost all of them American nationality. /dreamers.id
