J-Hope BTS (Bangtan Boys) made a large donation to Child Fund Korea to support children with disabilities in celebrating their birthday on February 18. The owner of the name Jung Hoseok is donating 150 million won (around Rp1, 9 billion).
According to the Child Fund Korea representative, J-Hope made a donation of 150 million won to the organization. used for child care, education, and the cost of social support services for children with vision and hearing disabilities who come from disadvantaged families.
As a member of the Green Noble Club, an elite group of individuals who have donated more than 100 million won (Rp1.3 billion), J-Hope feels compelled to help future Korean children with multiple disabilities.
"I heard that the number of families in vulnerable situations has increased significantly due to the prolonged COVID-19 crisis, and support for children with disabilities is urgently needed. I hope this donation will further expand social interest in supporting children with disabilities, "said J-Hope.
Back in 2018, J-Hope became the 146th member of the Green Noble Club. Throughout his career, he has made many donations, such as 150 million won to support talent development in 2018, 100 million won in scholarships in 2019, and 100 million won to support families struggling during the initial wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020.
Child Fund Korea chairman Lee Je Hoon also thanked J-Hope for his generous donation. "Through the regular donations given by global star J-Hope BTS, interest in children suffering from economic hardship has increased, and its good influence has led to increased demand for donations by both domestic and foreign ARMYs."
