Good news for Sunmi fans. The reason is, after not releasing a new work for a long time, this singer will finally make a comeback. This was also confirmed by MakeUs Entertainment as the agency that oversees the former Wonder Girls member.

On yesterday, Tuesday (2/2), representatives from MakeUs Entertainment shared, "Sunmi is preparing for a comeback with a late February release plan." Today, Wednesday (10/2), the agency finally released a teaser and a schedule for the beautiful soloist's comeback.

Sunmi was revealed to be making a comeback on February 23 at 6 p.m. KST. The teaser photo for the new release features the text, "Sunmi is coming". Previously, according to media outlet Sports Chosun, it was reported that he had finished working on the title song and made the finishing touches on the album.

This will be Sunmi's first comeback in about eight months since “pporappippam” last June. However, last August, Sunmi also appeared on a music program to promote her song "When We Disco" with JYP Entertainment boss Park Jin Young.

On Tuesday (9/2), Sunmi gave an update through an Instagram Story post. The former Wonder Girls girl group member revealed how difficult it is to be on a diet by writing, "I hate diets! Too hard! Ack!"

Seeing this post, many netizens suspected Sunmi had started a diet in preparation for her comeback. Previously, Sunmi had received attention for her efforts to gain weight. The owner's full name Lee Sunmi revealed that he was the type who naturally did not gain weight.

Sunmi herself made her debut in 2007 as a member of the South Korean girl group Wonder Girls and left the group in 2010 to pursue an academic career. After three years of absence, Sunmi continued his career as a soloist with his 2013 debut "Full Moon" and spawned the double singles "24 Hours" and "Full Moon" on the national Gaon Digital Chart.

In 2015, Sunmi was announced to continue promotions with Wonder Girls until their disbandment in 2017. She then left JYP Entertainment and joined MakeUs Entertainment, releasing the hit single "Gashina". (wk / daughter)
