After "True Beauty" ended, scriptwriter Lee Si Eun underwent an interview to discuss various interesting things about this drama. One of them is a favorite scene and the meaning contained in it.
Writer Lee Si Eun chose the scene near the end of episode 11 as her favorite. In that scene, Lim Joo Kyung (Moon Ga Young) rushes to the hospital to meet Lee Su Ho (Cha Eunwoo). Lim Joo Kyung wants to comfort Lee Su Ho because his father retired early after his agency was involved in a plagiarism case.
When Joo Kyung arrives, Su Ho looks like he's trying to get tough. He said, "This is Lim Joo Kyung again. I wanted to see you and you came." After that they hugged each other and kissed affectionately. According to writer Lee Si Eun, this scene depicts the deep meaning and emotions felt by the two characters.
"When I wrote the lines, I imagined Su Ho thoughts like, 'I feel like crying, but you are here in front of my eyes again.' Ever since they were little, Joo Kyung was always by Su Ho's side when he cried. telling Su Ho, 'I came here to hug you', I froze even though I already knew all the lines in that scene, "said the writer.
The next scene that is the writer's favorite is in episode 13 when Su Ho hugs Joo Kyung who is sad because his real face is revealed. For the writer, the scene is able to depict the great love of the two characters because they are by each other's side while going through difficult times.
"I want Joo Kyung and Su Ho to be special to each other because they can understand each other's hardships and protect each other without having to put into words. I think that scene portrays that kind of relationship well," he explained.
In addition, writer Lee Si Eun is also very grateful because Cha Eunwoo and Moon Ga Young were able to portray the scene very well. "I think it's even more memorable because the two actors did a great job with their acting and the director painted them in a heartwarming way," concluded writer Lee Si Eun.
