The music video for MONSTA X's Joohoney solo song "Psyche" hit 1 million views on YouTube as of January 31. But the 1994-born rapper didn't know that he had achieved this feat.
During a live broadcast via V Live with his partner Kihyun on Wednesday (3/2), Joohoney was told by his fans about the achievements of his viewers on YouTube. When Kihyun read out a fan comment saying that “PSYCHE” has reached 1 million views, Joohoney looked surprised.
Joohoney also responded, "Finally reached 1 million?" Then Joohoney explained that he knew this news because he had stopped checking because it seemed that his viewers would never go up.
Kihyun immediately commented on it and told Monbebe (fandom name) to stream the song "PSYCHE" along with the teaser for their upcoming Japanese single, "WANTED".
This comment attracted a lot of attention from fans. Most of the fans are sad and disappointed when they hear the reason Joohoney doesn't know the progress of his viewers. "Joohoney got 1 million views on YouTube and he was like, 'oh finally hit a million?' Kihyun's sad face said there was homework for us Monbebe to watch, "said one fan.
"Gosh, he said that? Sounds sad," said another fan. "My heart was broken too, he made the song with hard work and was very personal for him, it hurts to see him disappointed," said another fan.
After this live broadcast, fans also gave a form of support and appreciated the idol's hard work by watching the video clip again. Joohoney previously went on hiatus in early 2020 because he had an anxiety disorder. Even through difficult times, Joohoney continues to make himself even better.
