BTS (Bangtan Boys) is no stranger to the Billboard charts and is constantly making and breaking records with their achievements. This week, they have another feat under their name.
Their 2020 album, "Map Of The Soul: 7" has just hit 52 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. This makes it the second K-Pop album to do so and BTS the only K-Pop artist it is.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the 200 most popular albums in the United States each week. For the week of February 27, "Map Of The Soul: 7" has claimed 108th place.
The only other K-Pop album to stay on the Billboard 200 charts for more than a year is their 2018 album, "Love Yourself: Answer". The album graced the charts for a total of 98 weeks. However, "Love Yourself: Answer" has not returned to the charts after the week of December 12, 2020.
Their only album which has come close to a year is "Love Yourself: Her" which was released in 2017. The album runs at 44 weeks on the chart. However, since the song has not re-appeared on the charts since the week of September 1 2018, it is difficult to say whether this will be the next one.
BTS itself some time ago showed off their latest song and Coldplay cover for "MTV Unplugged Presents: BTS". Jin and friends performed some of their songs such as "Telepathy," "Blue & Gray," "Life Goes On," and "Dynamite," as well as a cover of Coldplay's "Fix You".
"MTV Unplugged Presents: BTS" is a BTS special episode of "MTV Unplugged", a series that started in 1989. The series features music artists performing unplugged versions of their songs. (wk / daughter)
