aespa will again spoil fans with a single remake. The rookie girl group SM Entertainment, which successfully debuted with the single "Black Mamba", has been confirmed to release a single titled "Forever" which is scheduled for release this week.
Last weekend, aespa officially announced their plans to release a remake of Yoo Young Jin's song which was released in 2000. The remake version of the single will be released online on February 5 at 6 p.m. KST.
After the individual photo teaser, this time SM Entertainment released the music video teaser for "Forever". In this teaser video, the four aespa members present a dazzling mix of visuals and vocals that invite admiration.
"Forever" is described as a mid-tempo ballad with an acoustic guitar sound and warm lyrics about promising forever to loved ones. "Forever" will feature an aespa side that is completely different from their powerful debut song "Black Mamba".
Yoo Young Jin was the first to release "Forever" as part of SM Entertainment's vacation album "Winter Vacation in SMTOWN.com" in 2000. He is said to have personally re-composed songs for the girl group.
Before this announcement was released, the public was shocked by a leak. Sonic Korea Mastering Studio's chief engineer Cheon Hoon recently posted an Instagram post that got aespa fans excited. As seen above, the post reads "aespa single new 'forever' #aespa #forever".
Observant-eyed fans realized that the song was most likely the currently unreleased song "Forever." The song was included on STATION X 4 LOVEs for Winter SMTOWN. (wk / dewi)
