Rose BLACKPINK (Black Pink) has been the global ambassador of Yves Saint Laurent since last year. The marketing power of the 1997-born idol to the fashion world successfully surprised the brand.
Rose has shown her influence as one of Saint Laurent's global ambassadors since summer 2020. The fashion brand shared on their social media that their video for the upcoming Summer 2021 Women's Brand Fashion Show has surpassed millions of views. The promotional video features a model walking on a runway in the middle of the desert over several dunes.
Other Saint Laurent-related videos also saw a spike in views after they announced that Rose would be their global ambassador. Rose became the first Korean to model for the brand and since then, Saint Laurent has seen the brand's popularity increase.

After the fashion show video was released, Rose shared it with her 35.8 million followers on Instagram, contributing to the number of views. In an interview, a high-ranking Saint Laurent member acknowledged Rose's influence.
"Although the fashion show video can attract attention on its own, Rose's influence plays a big role (in the increase in the audience). We are excited for our future collaboration with Rose," he said.
BLACKPINK and Rose undoubtedly have a lot of strength, but it's amazing to see a big fashion brand like Saint Laurent admit it too. It seems that the success of Saint Laurent and Rose's collaboration will continue.
