In the 'Hush' press conference which was held on Thursday (10/12) yesterday, Yoona and Hwang Jung Min praised each other's acting. Are they curious as to what their complete narrative is like?
On Thursday (10/12), JTBC held a press conference for its new drama entitled "Hush". The event was attended by director Choi Kyu Shik and its cast, including Girls' Generation's Yoona and Hwang Jung Min.
During the event, Yoona and Hwang Jung Min complimented each other's acting skills and personalities. Hwang Jung Min even admitted to being happy every time he saw Yoona.
"Something I felt while working with her was how open-minded she was. Different from (her character) Lee Ji Soo, Yoona was very tolerant and from an acting point of view, I was very grateful for the overlapping aspects," said Hwang Jung Min.
"When I look from the side, you will see his sparkling eyes and it also shines in his role. When I see him, I also feel happy," added the 50-year-old actor.
On the other hand, Yoona admitted to getting a lot of help from Hwang Jung Min on the set. "There was no reason for me not to take that role when I heard that Hwang Jung Min would play Han Joon Hyuk," said the 30-year-old woman.
"Because he played a charismatic role in the film, he has a very strong image. But I'm grateful he approached me in a friendly way. He also listened to a lot of my worries about acting, so I received a lot of help," explained Yoona.
Not wanting to be left behind, director Choi Kyu Shik also praised Yoona and Hwang Jung Min's strong chemistry. "Hwang Jung Min and Yoona have great synergy. The chemistry between reporters at the Korean Daily is also gradually improving. Even from the director's point of view, it feels great to see their acting," concluded the director.
Meanwhile, "Hush" is a drama that tells the story of the daily struggles and ethical dilemmas of newspaper reporters. This drama will portray their problems as problems faced by all office workers, not just reporters.
Hwang Jung Min will play Han Joo Hyuk, a veteran reporter who has lost his passion for work due to the harsh reality of the industry. Meanwhile, Yoona takes on the role of a brave and passionate apprentice reporter named Lee Ji Soo. The drama itself is prepared to replace the broadcast slot for "More Than Friends" and will start airing on Friday (11/12) tonight.
