The COVID-19 pandemic that is still ongoing has led to many awards events changing their concept. One of the music awards events, The Fact Music Awards has announced that they are changing the concept of the event by holding a ceremony this year without an audience.
The Fact Music Awards (TMA) finally confirmed more artists for this year's ceremony. Today, Tuesday (8/12) it was reported that the new boy group ENHYPEN will attend The Fact Music Awards. This was eventually followed by confirmation from the organizers.
The organizing committee for The Fact Music Awards confirmed the news and stated, "The sale of their debut album alone proves that they meet the criteria for receiving an award at The Fact Music Awards".
"We are also listening to fans' desire to see ENHYPEN perform at the year-end awards ceremony. After considering the criteria for assessment and fan opinion, we decided to add ENHYPEN to the artist list," continued the representative of The Fact Music Awards.
ENHYPEN is a seven-member boy group formed through the Mnet and BELIFT collaboration survival program "I-LAND". Their debut album, "BORDER: DAY ONE," recently broke the 2020 record among rookie groups for highest first week album sales. The album also occupies No. 1 on the Oricon daily album chart, an impressive feat for a Korean debut release.
The Fact Music Awards are scheduled to take place on December 12. The ceremony is "ontact" (no face-to-face contact) and will be broadcast live online in various regions around the world. Jun Hyun Moo and Girls' Generation's Seohyun are back as hosts.
Previously, the organizers had announced that Bangtan Boys (BTS), TWICE, MAMAMOO, ITZY, and (G) I-DLE would be part of the lineup. It was also confirmed that Stray Kids, TXT, ATEEZ, CRAVITY, and Weeekly will also enliven and appear at the event.
Earlier this year, the second annual The Fact Music Awards was forced to cancel his physical ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They choose to announce the winner online. The awards ceremony was originally scheduled to take place in February at the Gocheok Sky Dome, with a star-studded lineup.
