Actor Elliot Page, or previously known as Ellen Page, has surprisingly revealed his identity as a transgender person.


Page revealed his identity as a transgender person through his social media accounts. In the announcement, he describes himself as transgender and non-binary, meaning that his gender identity is neither male nor female.


"I can't express how amazing it feels because I finally love myself enough to be able to reveal the real me (as a transgender)," said Page in his upload. "I've always been inspired by the multitude of transgender communities."


Page himself has been in the entertainment world since he was a child. He started his career by starring in television series in Canada. Now, his name is increasingly widely known after expanding his wings by starring in Hollywood series and films.


Lately his name has been closely attached to the character Vanya Hargreeves in the Netflix series "The Umbrella Academy". Apart from playing the character, Page himself was previously known for a series of films he has starred in, and even received an Oscar nomination for his brilliant acting.
