On August 2, Lotte Entertainment, the distributor of the film, shared the news that “Steel Rain 2” had surpassed a million moviegoers. consistent with the Korean Film Council, the film had reached over 788,000 moviegoers by Lammas and was expected to succeed in the a million mark by the top of the weekend. The film was released on July 29 and managed to realize the feat in only five days.
To celebrate, director Yang Woo Seok and lead actors Jung Woo Sung and Yoo Yeon Seok posted handwritten messages of gratitude to everyone who watched the film.
