BLACKPINK (Black Pink) is a girl group with fans spread all over the world, and many of them are from Southeast Asia. A netizen recently requested that fellow Korean netizens stop commenting racistly at BLACKPINK fans from Southeast Asia.
A posting on the online community site Theqoo highlighted the high view of MV BLACKPINK, which was partly contributed by Southeast Asian fans. But not a few Korean netizens who underestimate this BLACKPINK achievement only because Southeast Asian fans helped "contribute" view MV.
"Every time there is talk about the view of the BLACKPINK MV, there must be someone who mentions Southeast Asia who raised the view and for me it's ridiculous ... Do you think that just because (fans) of Southeast Asia watch the MV then the view is considered fake? So only white people have to be accepted to be considered 'worldwide'? Haha, Koreans get racist treatment from white people, meanwhile they act like white people and act racist to others, "wrote a tweet included in the post .
This also became a concern of other netizens. They admit that BLACKPINK has a lot of fans from Southeast Asia, but that should not be a problem, let alone to be a reason to be racist and to underestimate BLACKPINK.
