The Korean Drama Hospital Playlist was one of the most popular in the first half of 2020. Featuring daily stories about doctors in a hospital, this Korean drama has five main characters, one of whom is Chae Songhwa, played by Jeon Mi Do.
Hospital Playlist is Jeon Mi Do's first television drama. Before finally playing on the television screen, Jeon Mi Do appeared in many theater and musical stages. The Jeon Mi Do audition process for Hospital Playlist is now released in a vlog video.
The video shows how Jeon Mi Do's first process met with the director and screenwriter of the Hospital Playlist. He also read out several dialogues from the manuscript that had been written as part of the audition.
Praise for praise flowed for Jeon Mi Do in the audition process. One person from the screenwriter team said his appearance in reading the script was very much like a doctor's. Jeon Mi Do was also praised for her appearance in the film Mother despite having only a short and somewhat unimportant dialogue.
"The dialogue was not something special but you did it very well. I don't know how you did it even though it was not a special dialogue," said director Shin Won Ho, who Jeon Mi Do replied wisely.
"The task of an actor is to do his role well even though the slightest role," he said.
In an interview with South Korean magazine, Jeon Mi Do mentioned that he was recommended by Jo Jung Suk to director Shin Won Ho for the role of Chae Songhwa. Now in this audition process video is shown how Shin Won Ho told Jeon Mi Do that there is an actor who recommended it.
The actress who plays in the musical Once was flattered and grateful to Jo Jung Suk, even though at that time he did not know which actor recommended it. Shin Won Ho told Jeon Mi Do that the actor really liked his appearance in the musical Once and immediately fell in love with Jeon Mi Do's acting.
As proof that Jo Jung Suk recommended Jeon Mi Do to Shin Won Ho, a short video was also included when the director chatted with Jo Jung Suk.
