First Aired in Korean Cinemas, 'Peninsula' Films Received the Most Number of Viewers Since the COVID-19 Pandemic

The film 'Peninsula' managed to get the highest number of viewers on the first day of airing since the COVID-19 pandemic.


The sequel to the film 'Train To Busan' was first aired in South Korean cinema on Wednesday (07/15) yesterday.

Based on data released by the Korean Film Council on Thursday morning (07/16), the film 'Peninsula' managed to get a total audience of 352,930 people on the first day of screening.

This is the highest record of the first day ever obtained by any film in South Korean cinema since entering the COVID-19 pandemic.

That number broke the record for the film '#ALIVE' which had 204,071 viewers on the first day of broadcast.

'Peninsula' is the sequel to the popular zombie film 'Train To Busan', starring Kang Dong Won and Lee Jung Hyun. This film takes the setting of the story 4 years after the incident in the film 'Train To Busan'. (www.kpopchart.net)...
