Boy Group Made by 'Under Nineteen' Survival Event, Reported 1THE9 Will Be Disbanded In August After Comeback Promotion. This Certainly Surprised Many People, Including Enthusiasts.

Bad news came from boy group 1THE9. Because the boy group made by the survival event "Under Nineteen" is reported to be disbanded in August after a comeback promotion. This certainly surprised many people including the fans.

1THE9 is a project group that debuted through the MBC idol survival program "Under Nineteen". Just like IOI, Wanna One, IZ * ONE and X1, this boy group has a "temporary" system which will be scheduled to disperse after the contract expires.

The boy group was originally scheduled to disperse on July 8 this year. However, due to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, their comeback was postponed and affected changes in the deadline for their activities including the dissolution schedule.

Recently, reports emerged that according to K-Pop officials on July 23, it was decided that 1THE9 would disband on August 8. The group released their 3rd mini album titled "Turn Over" on July 16th. According to official documents, after the activity for "Turn Over" is finished, the group will split up.

The related member agencies have reportedly agreed to extend the promotion for a month to 8 August. However, it was further revealed that in cases where there are still schedules related to the "Turn Over" promotion after August 8, the group will likely still come together to complete it.

There is currently no official confirmation from MBK Entertainment as the agency that houses 1THE9. Members of the group's debut were announced on February 9, 2019 and will promote under PocketDol Studio (a subsidiary of MBK Entertainment) for 12 months.

Of the 57 initial participants who participated in "Under Nineteen), 9 final participants were selected by the ballot and announced via live television. During the final broadcast, the final members were ranked and marked for debut by the votes of the fans.

It was announced that the final lineup will do V Live to thank the fans two hours after the show as well as their names. Then it was announced that the vocal team director, Crush would write and produce the group's debut single.

Although their official debut is scheduled for April, they will participate in "Under Nineteen's Final Concert" on February 23, 2019 by performing songs from the event with other contestants. Since the performance, the members have performed many singles "Like a Magic" on music shows and have used it as a pre-debut promotional single.
