Gaon Chart Has Announced The Latest Batch Of Official Platinum Certification. Today, Thursday (11/6), Gaon Chart announced that NCT Dream's newest mini album 'Reload' has received the official Double Platinum Certification.
Gaon Chart has announced the latest batch of official platinum certification. In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association (KOMCA) implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming.
Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, the Gaon Chart now certifies the platinum album after they reached 250,000 sales. While the song receives platinum certification if it has 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.
Today, Thursday (11/6), Gaon Chart announced that NCT Dream's latest mini album titled "Reload" has received official double platinum certification. This is because the album has sold more than 500,000 units since it was released on April 29.
Although the group previously won platinum with their mini album titled "We Boom", "Reload" was their first release which was certified double platinum. In addition to the album that got double platinum, Gaon also released a list of albums that got platinum certificates.
GOT7's new mini album titled "DYE" and Suho's EXO solo debut mini album titled "Self-Portrait" officially received platinum. The certificate was obtained because both of them managed to sell more than 250,000 units of each album on the Gaon chart.
IU's albums are "Blueming," Changmo "METEOR", Gummy "Remember Me" (from OST "Hotel Del Luna"), Noel "Late Night", Bolbbalgan4 "Bomb," MC Max "One Day Only", and "Paris in the Rain "by Lauv also received platinum certification. This is because the entire album has surpassed 100 million times each stream.
