JYP Entertainment reiterated the actions they will take to the makers of false rumors and slander spreaders for their artists, TWICE.
Today, Monday (08/06), the agency officially released a statement regarding the evidence that appeared in certain online communities that spread unfounded false rumors targeting Jihyo Cs.
"Hello. This is JYP.
Especially in certain online communities, there have recently been cases of writing and spreading unfounded false rumors about our artist.
We recognize this and gather evidence, and we file civil and criminal complaints against those who write or circulate [posts] for spreading false information, slander, interference in business, and more. We plan to continue to take legal action against other similar cases.
The decision was made that the content that we have filed complaints also contributed to defamation and interference with business not only artists but also companies. Including these damages, we take the highest possible civil and criminal action.
We have announced several times that we will take all possible legal actions to slander the unthinkable and spread unfounded false information about our artists, and we file complaints regularly on the basis of monitoring and reports from fans about this issue together with specialized legal institutions. .
We again ask for caution so that this problem does not cause unnecessary damage
Thank you."
