BTS to Twice, Here's the List of Top 10 Best Selling Idol Groups in K-Pop History

Recently, Intiz website released a list of 10 Korean idol groups that have the most sales records in K-pop history. This Data Includes Full Group, Solo, Unit, Live Album and OST Album Sales.

Like other entertainment industries, K-Pop music scene is always dynamic and unexpected. This year a group may not be too well known, but the following year the group can skyrocket and become a new idol.

But even so, some older groups are also still an idol until now. They are able to compete with many new groups that have young and fresh concepts. Recently the website Intiz released a list of 10 Korean idol groups that have the most sales records in K-Pop history.

Data taken from Intiz is taken from sales data in Gaon, Oricon and international sales. This data is also included with full group, solo, unit, live album and OST album sales.

It was revealed that Bangtan Boys (BTS) successfully won first place in the boy group category with total sales of 23.7 million units. While EXO ranks second with total sales of 14.6 million units.

For the girl group category, there is Twice who placed first with a total sales of 7.3 million units. While in second place is Girl's Generation, which successfully sold 6.03 million units. This certainly reaps fan comments. In the Intiz site many fans were amazed and some did not suspect the position of several groups.

"Girls' Generation is amazing," the fans said. "I'm a BTS fan so I already know they are top, but SHINee's position is interesting!" other fans continued. "Twice will be in the Top 5 even if it's in the boy group category," said other fans.

"BLACKPINK (Black Pink) sales are lower than I thought," fans said. "I can't believe Seventeen (II) is up there. Friends, let's go up slowly but surely, Seventeen I love you," said the fans.

"Wow, half of the biy group comes from SM," concluded the fans. "There's a big difference between selling boy groups and girl groups. I want to know why?" other fans continued.
