TVP Polish Night Journalism Program 'W Tyle Wizji' Gets Criticism After Making Racist and Homophobic Comments on BTS. They also insinuated the group's fandom.

Polish TVP's evening journalistic program "W Tyle Wizji" has come under fire after making racist and homophobic comments on BTS (Bangtan Boys). They also quipped ARMY's habit of sending mass reprimands whenever something like this happened.

Earlier this year, a Polish television program received much criticism after making racist comments against Jungkook and J-Hope. Now other Polish television shows are criticizing racist comments and insults from the host to members.

In one segment, two presenters stated that BTS had good songs. But they call the members' costumes like "ice men" from Germany, which carries a very homophobic connotation. They also include comments that are considered racist, referring to stereotypes that refer to all Asians having narrow eyes.

What is meant by "ice man" in Polish slang terms can refer to sexual acts by men to men. But according to some fans, the master of ceremonies might not really mean to refer BTS members in a homophobic way. Clothes like "ice man" can be interpreted as the real seller of ice cream. In the past, many ice cream sellers on the roadside wore white clothes, which were called similar to BTS costumes.

The program also refers to the January 2020 incident in which different Polish television programs made racist statements against Jungkook and J-Hope. They openly quipped ARMY, saying that they shouldn't talk about BTS negatively because if they didn't want to be attacked.

ARMY tried to make their voices heard by the show's producers. They were angry that the controversial comments about BTS could have escaped and delivered in a program that was broadcast live on television.

Meanwhile, BTS will hold a paid online concert "Bang Bang Con The Live" on June 14 as the highlight of the Festa event, celebrating their 7th birthday. Tickets can be purchased through the Weverse Shop at lower prices for official fanclub members.
