Baeksang Arts Awards 2020 was completed on Friday (5/6) yesterday. This award event for television and film people was held without a live audience because they still followed the social distancing rules against COVID-19.
Among the series of winners of the Baeksang Arts Awards 2020 that have been announced, the win of the Best Actor and Actress TV categories seems to be the most highlighted because a series of top actors and actresses have been nominated.
In the end, the Best Actor award was won by Kang Ha Neul through his acting in the drama "When The Camellia Blooms". While the Best Actress trophy was brought home by Kim Hee Ae through his role in "The World of the Married".
Not long ago, the 2020 Baeksang Arts Awards revealed the reasons for the jury choosing Kang Ha Neul and Kim Hee Ae as the winners of the Best Actor and Actress. When determining the winner of the Best Actor, the vote was split between Kang Ha Neul and Nam Goong Min who starred in "Stove League".
In the end, Kang Ha Neul had the honor of winning the Best Actor because of his most credible portrayal of Hwang Yong Shik's character. The judges believe Kang Ha Neul has an extraordinary spectrum of emotions in the drama, which is rare from a relatively young actor group in their 30s.
Then the jury most difficult to determine the winner for Best Actress because of the fierce competition of drama actresses. According to the judges, Kim Hee Ae competed with Gong Hyo Jin "When The Camellia Blooms" and Kim Hye Soo "Hyena".
But finally the judges agreed that Kim Hee Ae's in-depth understanding of Dr. multi-dimensional character Ji Sun Woo in the ruined and depressing "The World of the Married" deserves an award.
