'The King: Eternal Monarch' Alone Is a Fantasy Drama About Two Parallel Universes. SBS's Latest Drama Will Present the Latest Episode on Saturday (4/18).

"The King: Eternal Monarch 'finally presents its inaugural episode on Friday (17/4). The drama, starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun, also proved that it had been highly anticipated by the audience.

The enthusiasm can be seen from the rating record of "The King: Eternal Monarch" which immediately set the record for drama with the highest prime episode rating in the SBS Friday - Saturday night slot. The drama recorded a rating of 10.1 percent and 11.4 percent.

"The King: Eternal Monarch" successfully defeated a series of popular SBS dramas in the Friday-Saturday night slots starting from "The Fiery Priest" (10.4 percent), "Vagabond" (10.4 percent) to "Hyena" (10, 3 percent).

For other dramas that aired in the same slot, "The World of the Married" by JTBC recorded a downgrade to 18.5 percent. As for Channel A's "Eccentric! Chef Moon", it was only able to reach 0.8 percent.


"The King: Eternal Monarch" itself is a fantasy drama about two parallel universes. One universe is a democracy that resembles modern Korea as we know it, while the other is an alternative universe where Korea is an empire ruled by a single king.

(SPOILER) The first episode of "The King: Eternal Monarch" shows the childhood of Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) who was almost killed by his uncle, Lee Lim (Lee Jung Jin). But who knows where it came from, a mysterious figure wearing the name ID Jung Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun) came to save the crown prince.

When he grew up and assumed the status of king, Lee Gon succeeded in breaking through the gates of the two worlds to meet with Jung Tae Eul. Meanwhile, "The King: Eternal Monarch" will present the latest episode on Saturday (18/4) tonight. For those who are already curious, don't miss watching it.
