Mini Album the Map of the Soul: Persona ’Gets a Gold Certificate in America - The mini album 'Map of the Soul: Persona' BTS managed to get a Gold certificate in the United States.
On Friday (23/08) local time, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that the mini album "Map of the Soul: Persona" had sold more than 500 thousand copies in America.
'Map of the Soul: Persona' became the second BTS album to ever get a Gold certificate in America, after the previous album 'Love Yourself: Answer' in 2018.
Previously BTS was the first Korean artist to get a Gold certificate with the single 'MIC Drop' in February 2018. The song 'MIC Drop' then got a Platinum certificate in November 2018, making it the first K-Pop song to get a Platinum certificate in the US music industry.
