Malaysia's new king, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah (Sultan Abdullah) has just been officially crowned on Tuesday (20/7). He was asked to choose between two popular K-Pop groups namely BTS (Bangtan Boys) and BLACKPINK (Black Pink).

The coronation of the new King of Malaysia took place at the National Palace, Kuala Lumpur. Sultan Abdullah who was appointed as the 16th King (Agong, supreme ruler) of Malaysia sat down for an interview with the press.

During the interview, two Astro Awani media reporters prepared the game "This or That" which was pleasing to the King. When answering various questions during the game, His Majesty revealed that he prefers hip hop to K-Pop.

But it was soon revealed that that did not mean the King did not have a favorite K-Pop group. He was asked to choose between BLACKPINK and BTS.

After a short pause, Raja chose BTS instead of BLACKPINK with a smile on his face. This makes ARMY (BTS fandom) happy and throws it under the videos circulating on Twitter.

"Our king chose BTS. This was a big victory for ARMY Malaysia," commented one fan. "I already know! Welcome to our club, Your Majesty," added another fan. "The king certainly knows about BTS because they once gave a speech at the UN session. The influence of BTS in the world is also extraordinary. This makes me proud," concluded another.

Meanwhile, BTS announced a final concert for the "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" tour in Seoul for three days, 26, 27 and 29 October. Previously they would visit Saudi Arabia for a concert at King Fahd International Stadium, Riyadh on October 11. They will be on hiatus before the concerts.

BLACKPINK itself has not announced the next destination for the "In Your Area" concert tour. But the YG Entertainment group will release their second mini album in Japan on September 11 with a total of 10 songs.
