Angry NCT Fans Call SM Trying to Remove Winwin's Existence from the Group Because of It - NCT Dream Members Namely Renjun, Jisung Dan Chenle Hold V Live Broadcasts. The Three Have Talked About Winwin, Which Is Now Busy With Its Activities With WayV In China.
Winwin debuted in 2016 as the only member from China on NCT 127, one of the NCT subunits. The 1997-born singer later debuted as WayV personnel last year.
SM Entertainment itself explained that WayV was part of NCT even though it was under the independent label for the sake of continuing their careers in China. Even so, recent events have angered fans.
On July 20, the NCT Dream members namely Renjun, Jisung and Chenle broadcast V Live. Here, the three had talked about Winwin, who is now preoccupied with his activities with WayV in China.
This is where fans hear the voice of a female staff whispering. The staff allegedly instructed Renjun that the 2000 birth idol not talk about Winwin in their V Live broadcast.
And looking at the members' expressions, they seemed unhappy with the instructions. The reason is that even though it is not under the same unit as Winwin, Renjun and Chenle are quite close to him considering they are both from China.
"Winwin really shouldn't be treated like this. All Chinese idols should be treated better by SM," commented the fans. "How long does SM want to pretend that Winwin isn't there?" said other fans.
"This is really annoying. As far as I know there is no other group whose members are prohibited from talking about members of their own group," fans said. "At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Winwin left the agency if it continued to be treated like this," added another.
