BLACKPINK (aka Black Pink) filled the event held by the Philippine Shopee in Manila on Thursday (6/6). Jennie became a conversation because it looked pale and like enduring pain while attending the event.

Shortly after finishing, the Philippine Shopee apparently reaped criticism because the event ended in shambles. Many fans criticized Shopee for feeling cheated.

The online store headquartered in Singapore promises seats for fans who buy from them and indicates that the top 40 shoppers will get a special signature from each BLACKPINK member. But when the event took place, some fans were allegedly denied entry despite having a ticket and spending a lot of money.

In fact, some fans revealed that even though they were initially told they had been given a ticket, Shopee withdrew the ticket. "The pain I have now is unbearable. I just want to see BLACKPINK and I believe that my dream will come true. But they pulled it back," fans said through cuitan on social media.

Fans also reported that while they were refused entry to the event, a number of important people and celebrities who were not fans of BLACKPINK were given priority. Other fans reported that after being allowed in, they were told that they were not part of the top 40 and were asked to give up their seats. When they said they wanted to stay, they were treated differently by staff members at the event.

This made fans twice as angry because there were only 568 tickets allocated for the event. The unfair treatment they received made #ShopeeScam trending hashtags throughout the world.

In response, Shopee made an official statement containing an apology to fans. They promised that they would not only contact fans who felt disadvantaged, but would also make steps in the future so things like this would not happen again.
