Drug scandal B.I ex-iKON personnel has entered a new phase after the revealed identity of A in the controversial KakaoTalk conversation which is none other than Han Seo Hee. Thursday (13/6), "KBS News" reported that Han Seo Hee claimed to be threatened by Yang Hyun Suk regarding a testimony about B.I.
On August 23, 2016, a day after testifying to the police about suspected B.I drug use, Han Seo Hee was reportedly called to the YG Entertainment office and met with Yang Hyun Suk. In a testimony filed by lawyer Bang Jung Hyun on his behalf to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, he said he had been threatened by the agency's founder.
Bang Jung Hyun told KBS that Yang Hyun Suk told them to take out their cellphones and agreed not to record the conversation. "It won't be difficult for me to put you at a disadvantage," Yang Hyun Suk said in a report.
"Before the informant met Yang Hyun Suk, he told the police the whole truth when he was first brought in," Bang Jung Hyun said. "During the first police investigation, he testified about everything including the fact that he brought marijuana and gave him LSD after (B.I) asked him to get (marijuana and LSD) for him, time and date, and location. But the police did not conduct an investigation."
Yang Hyun Suk reportedly said that YG artists would never be arrested by police for drug use. Bang Jung Hyun stated that Yang Hyun Suk himself revealed the existence of a method used to remove traces of drugs (in the body) so that they were not detected in the test. "We regularly carry out drug tests, and if detected, they are sent to Japan where drugs can be removed, so that they are not detected," Yang Hyun Suk said based on the report.
According to Bang Jung Hyun, Yang Hyun Suk then said, "I hate seeing our artists go to the police station because of such problems. I will give you enough compensation and appoint a lawyer for you, so go to the police station and change all your testimonies."
Han Seo Hee said that Yang Hyun Suk did appoint a lawyer for him. "According to the informant, his lawyer at the time was not his own lawyer and it felt as if they were speaking on behalf of Yang Hyun Suk from the position of YG Entertainment," Bang Jung Hyun said. "They wrote down each line of testimony in the notebook and told him to say it like that. He said they continued to train him."
During the third interrogation on August 30, Han Seo Hee changed his original testimony by saying that B.I never used drugs. While YG Entertainment has confirmed that Yang Hyun Suk did meet him, but denied persuading him to change his testimony and appointed a substitute lawyer for him.
