They explained that T.O.P completed its mandatory military duties earlier than scheduled, as a result of changes to the rules issued by the South Korean government in 2018 against conscripted participants who served as public servants.
They further said, "Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P) will complete his military duty on July 8. Because of the new law on compulsory military service which came into force last year, the mandatory military service period was 27 days shorter than originally scheduled. "
Previously T.O.P had served military duty as a police officer. But after being involved in a drug case in July 2017, he was expelled from his position as a police officer.
