On April 21 local time, Billboard announced that the mini album ‘Map of the Soul: Persona’ Bangtan Boys managed to rank first on the Billboard 200 album chart in the United States.
'Map of the Soul: Persona' became Bangtan Boys' third album, which entered the Billboard 200 chart in first place, after 'Love Yourself: Tear' in May 2018 and 'Love Yourself: Answer' in September 2018.
Bangtan Boys also became the first Korean artist to top the Billboard 200 chart with three different albums, and the achievement was obtained by Bangtan Boys in less than a year.
According to Billboard, the last artist to be ranked top on the Billboard 200 album chart three times in a year is The Beatles which ranked first with three different albums from December 1995 to 1996.
